Hi! My name's Tom Painter. After doing a B.A. (Hons) degree in English

　　Literature and Philosophy degree, I got my CELTA Teaching Certificate in

　　2001. I then came to China where I have taught for 10 years and have worked

　　with our fantastic team of teachers at UIE since 2006. Although now Regional

　　Service Manager, I still love to teach, observe and share classroom ideas

　　and my job brings me into contact with native speakers from all around the

　　world - come and meet them!

　　Outside school, I love playing guitar, doing exercise and reading ...oh and

　　exploring new parts of Beijing and China as well of course!
